The Luge Kuala Lumpur is located quite a distance from the city centre — around 30 to 45 minutes by Grab or Bolt, depending on traffic. The one-way fare typically ranges between RM30 to RM40. However, do take note: after your visit, especially during peak hours, it can be difficult to secure a ride back as there are limited private hire drivers in the area. As a result, prices for return trips can surge significantly, going up to RM40 to RM70 or more. This is definitely something to consider when planning your visit.
We went on a Saturday evening, which turned out to be a peak period. The place was crowded and the queues were long. If you're okay with queuing for 20–30 minutes just to get on a single luge ride, then this experience will be right up your alley. We purchased our tickets at the counter — RM65 for 3 luge rides per person. If you plan ahead and book online, you can enjoy a small discount (around 5%), so that’s worth doing.
From start to finish, it took us nearly 2 hours to complete our 3 rides due to the crowd. Despite the wait, the luge rides themselves were really fun, and the track is well-designed with gentle slopes and some exciting turns. It’s definitely a unique activity in KL and suitable for both kids and adults.
Aside from the luge, the area also offers food stalls, a mini carnival, and even an indoor water play area for children. So if you're coming with family or kids, there’s enough to keep everyone entertained for a few hours.
Overall, we definitely enjoyed our visit and found the luge rides to be the highlight. But we strongly recommend going during non-peak hours (weekday afternoons or mornings, if possible) to avoid the crowd and long queues. Also, plan your transportation wisely and be prepared for price surges when booking a ride home.
Would we come again? Yes — but next time, we’ll avoid weekends...
Read moreWe last came about 6 months ago and had a good experience so returned today. My advice is: do not come! It is clear that tickets have been massively oversold. There is at least a 40 minute wait per 2 minute run which means the overall experience is poor.
The luge is fun but not fun enough to be waiting 40 minutes per ride for! We booked 5 rides each and I think we are going to be queuing 2/3 hours at least.
Just finished first run - took 55 minutes from joining the queue. Insane.
Edit: just asked staff member in the queue what would happen when the ride closed at 10pm and we still had 2 rides to go from our package of 5 (at current rate of 1 ride per hour and queue is getting worse)- I asked if we would be refunded. No refunds, she said.
Final edit, amended my star rating from 1 to 3: we stayed until the end and did manage to use our package of 5, the luge stayed open slightly later to accommodate everyone (till around 10.15). From joining the queue at the start to finishing our 5th run took 3/1/2h. The downhill takes about 2 minutes, the chairlift up about 3 so that means we spent about 3h queuing. There was a very helpful supervisor at customer services who said that although we couldn’t carry over any of our package to another day, she was happy for me to sell any remaining rides to someone else. As they stopped selling walk in tickets due to the big queues, there probably would have been demand for this. She printed my tickets out for me to make it easier for me to sell them. I didn’t try in the end.
Despite the queues it is a lot of fun and was especially good at night - fun with the bright lights and a lot cooler than under the sun. I would go again but would think more carefully about when to go to avoid the very long waits - now is school holiday season...

You are recommended to book online to cut the waiting time at the ticket counter. Do turn up early before 11.00 AM if you want to try all the four lanes. Safety helmet is provided at the storage boxes. The helmet provided with camera codes, which provided video and photos after your Luge ride with cameras placed at strategic locations. Do watch the video and photo through the monitor screen provided just a distance away from the Luge disembarkation area. Staff are friendly, and safety awareness is high. For first timers, do proceed to the left que. There, the cheerful staff will teach the basic operation on the Luge technique. Do watch the safety video that is posted on the ground floor while queuing up ticket screening and before you take the four seater chairlift. They will release you when you have performed the basic task and your Luge in working order. Once you are released, you are on your own. Nearby, there is another attraction for wet games and merry go round which is run by another group. Food stalls are available within the area. However, the space is insufficient for the weekend crowd. For the Muslim, there is a Musollah at the Luge...
