Qawra Point Holiday Complex — Attraction in Saint Paul's Bay

Sympathetic budget hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The bad reviews are simply because people expect too much for this pricerange. Sure, the furniture is old, there is some mould around the edges in the bathroom and (warm) waterpressure can be low so take your shower in the early evening. Kitchenette is very basic and not altogether practical, a bit like camping, so bring your own cutting knife and adapter, but it is certainly possible to prepare a simple meal. Matresses are not new (dûh) but didn't give me a backache which sais a lot. Top floor rooms have a spacious balcony with chairs and sunbeds and both sun and shade all day, unfortunately no privacy there due to lack of a screen between the balconies. Don't expect a real pool on the roof, its more a large tub. The room was clean upon arrival. Fresh sheets every 3 days, clean towels on request every day (leave the dirty ones on the floor). Unfortunately noise from the street (english pub down the street) and from inside the hotel if there are noisy guests. All in all a good place to stay on a small budget! Family member stayed here last a week , August 2024., OMG. this place should be shut down , certainly does not comply with any star rated standards ,not even 1*, on arrival early hours of the morning Entering the room was suffocating with the smell of mould , no toilet paper, room dirty Tv in kitchen was not connected properly Kettle but no plug near it , so have to plug it in bedroom , breakfast was less than simple Hard bread roll , same tray of cheese was put out every day, with what was missing day b4. Looking down from the balcony was a good view looking down on the swimming pools , but don’t be fooled , they don’t belong to this hotel 🤬, This hotel has Just a big tub on roof top as a swimming pool No shade at all , but it’s classed as a holiday complex 🥺 And cost was just over 900 Euros for the week on bed and so called breakfast Avoid like...

I liked · The apartment was spacious, with a large balcony with view directly on the sea, very well located near several shops, restaurants and just beside Malta National Aquarium, which I highly recommend too. Staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay in this complex again. The apartment was very good value for money and the complex felt safe as it was manned by staff 24/7.

I did not like · There were some minor problems like lack of towels one day and some noise from next door but staff resolved these issues in the main. Plates and cutlery were rather sparse but all essential items were there. Some equipment was rather old and non-functionnal. But overall most of it was. The worst part was the shower.
