Alexandra Falls, situated within Mauritius' Black River Gorges National Park, presents a picturesque cascade against a backdrop of verdant cliffs and forests. Hiking trails cater to the adventurous, leading closer to the falls, though some paths can be challenging. The surrounding area often features picnic spots, allowing visitors to enjoy the tranquility of this...

In the view point area there are picnic tables with shade and toilets. Toilets were in poor condition with no paper or water. View point to AF is ok, a bit crowded but can get some nice views. In the parking there was an ice cream van with great and cheap ice cream which is amazing after a walk in a hot day. Takes about just under 2hrs. The end point is worth the...

While Alexandra Falls itself is a bit difficult to fully appreciate from the viewpoint due to limited water flow, the surrounding area still offers a lovely experience. The falls might not be as dramatic as expected, but the park nearby is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a relaxing picnic. The viewpoint offers a stunning panorama of the southern part of Mauritius, with sweeping views of the lush landscape. It’s a peaceful and scenic spot, ideal for those who want to enjoy nature in a serene setting, even if the falls aren’t as impressive as...
