Crystal Rock

We were staying on the other side of the island and took a catamaran day trip to see the dolphins and go snorkeling through tui (was an amazing day btw, crew were lovely, food was really good and had an amazing time) There is two crystal rocks one baby one and one larger one! They are both corral formations that sit above the water. You can't walk on them! (Obviously) The water is turquoise in color and clearer than bottled water! The beach behind is clean with golden sand and is one of the most beautiful places I've been to! There is a hotel there (paradise) that is also stunning! They have apartments and whole houses for rent, all absolutely stunning places! Prices range from around £2000 to £700 a night so very pricey but if your lucky enough to be able to afford it worth every penny I'd say (Although we didn't stay there it looks it) Further down is a beach market that sells things like shells, hand made bowls, beach clothing and food and cocktails! You can use any table if you need a break from the sun and walking. Not really the best for wheelchairs due to the sand but I'm sure you would be ok on the catamarans as the crews are very helpfull and would defo help getting you aboard. I can't recommend this area of Mauritius...

🌊 Crystal Rock – Une Curiosité Naturelle au Cœur du Lagon

Accessible uniquement par bateau, Crystal Rock est souvent incluse dans des excursions en mer qui combinent plusieurs activités : observation des dauphins, snorkeling, baignade et parfois un déjeuner barbecue sur l’Île aux Bénitiers .

Les eaux cristallines entourant Crystal Rock sont idéales pour le snorkeling. La visibilité y est excellente, permettant d’observer une vie marine riche et colorée : poissons tropicaux tels que poissons-perroquets, poissons-clowns, et une variété de coraux et d’algues .

📸 Un Spot Photographique Prisé

Crystal Rock est également un lieu très prisé des photographes amateurs et professionnels. La roche émergeant des eaux limpides, avec le Morne Brabant en arrière-plan, crée un décor naturel époustouflant, particulièrement au lever ou au coucher du soleil .

Bien que le site soit magnifique, certains visiteurs estiment que l’arrêt à Crystal Rock est parfois bref et principalement destiné à la prise de photos . Il est donc recommandé de choisir une excursion qui offre suffisamment de temps pour profiter pleinement de l’expérience.

Hot spot for water sports enthusiasts! Only approachable by boat you will find a great place to look at and swim around. The water isn’t that deep that you even can touch the sea ground.
