Amazing beach to spend the weekend! A vaste beach for a nice walk with a pleasant cool breeze. Plenty of shade if you want to sit down. Blond Boulette (and noodles) and Glaçon Rapé to savour! Murky waters due to the mouth of the river. A lot of people trying to cross the river and not realising how deep it was. Lots of junior surfers learning which was great to see. I did a spot of fishing as was told the river mouth usually attracts sea fish looking for an easy dinner. A few fishermen accosted me trying to sell seats on their big game fishing trips.

Death in paradise. This beach has a dark past. The confluence of the sea and the river has a narrow channel that people have crossed and died in the process. It is signposted for that reason. I believe it's an issue with quicksand as it looks pretty shallow. With only 1 metre tidal range, it's not like a tidal bore. There are public facilities (wc) provided and a small car park, although it does get filled up by about 11am...
