Iconic location. It becomes the best tourist attraction in Ottapalam region in the resent years. The bridge was one of the most awaited infrastructue to get inaugurated and opened for public as it took about 30 years to complete (bravo!!!). You'll see an amazing sunset and sunrise from the bridge. Please keep in mind since the bridge was started building early in 1970s its infrastructure and the width of the bridge was planned for those years... So the road is kind of narrow.. However there is pedestrian path available both side of the bridge you can walk and take photographs. Do not park your vehicle over the bridge at anytime unless there is a technical malfunction or breakdown occurred. There is plenty of parking space available on both end of the bridge. So park your vehicles there and take the pedestrian path.

You can enjoy the beautiful scenery from the bridge. It's really breezy out there and you will feel relaxed. Calm and picturesque place forces you to take out your camera and click some pics. Who ever passes by will definitely stop to take photos. Lot of people come in the evening to enjoy the nature and the breeze. The bridge was under construction and now it is completed.

Good view from bridge. The technology used for building the bridge is using Launching Girder Method Distance between abutments 700 plus metres. Including approach road the distance is 1.2 Km. A bridge which connects Thrissur and Palakkad district. It shortened the travel from Mayannur, Chelakkara and wadakkanchery distance. The view from bridge is excellent.

One of the longest bridge over Nila river (Bharathapuzha) where you can see river Nila as a lady who worn saree having a red mark on her forhead during sunset. It is not just poetic but can feel the beauty. During summer there will be white grasses in the river bed seems like a garden. Many people are visiting day by day for a refreshment. Must watch it....

Long bridge over Bharathapuzha river also called Nila, connecting Palakkad and Thrissur district. Great view of river and surrounding areas. Inaugurated on 22nd January 2011 after a decade long wait. Only place for a morning and evening walks in and around ottapalam. 2022 It's unusual for a bridge to shake or vibrate when heavy / medium vehicles pass ?

A clean and nice spot for spending evenings with friends . People can stand at both sides of road to get a beautiful view of the river. The road weren’t much rush. This place is having a small parking space at the beginning of the bridge. Even if you want you can park your two wheelers on the sides of road for good pictures
