Took a family trip down to Ensénada to celebrate Memorial Day and also as an early birthday trip for myself. Never been wine tasting in Mexico but the misses keeps talking about it, so here was my change. This was the final local on our multi stop tour and we were delighted by the experience. The staff was friendly and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed and what wines worked best with our food selection. All the staff was masked up and kept a solid distance to meet Covid-19 guidelines for the venue. The location has great views of the wine valley and several spots for a photo opt or two. Definitely will come back again.

If you want great views and/or come in a big group you will love this location but aside from the view nothing special here. Our waitress was kind but having to get up every time for our tasting was a hassle and the young lady pouring the tasting was short and dry which left no room to ask questions. Our entire group did not like any of the wines in our “mixta” tasting and were very disappointed. Aside from this, Decantos just felt very touristy and not intimate.

Decantos was a great wine tasting experience! We shared two tastings (4 whites and 4 reds, I believe) and then joined the (free) tour at 3:00 which lasted around 45 minutes. We got to go underground to where the wine is pressed and stored. The majority of those joining the tour were Spanish speakers so the guide did most of the presentation in Spanish but made sure to catch up with us at each spot to re-explain in English, which was so thoughtful!

Decantos Vinícola has become a staple on my wine tasting tours of Valle de Guadalupe, offering a consistently enjoyable experience each visit. The winery, known for its traditional methods and picturesque setting, provides a laid-back atmosphere that's perfect for both wine aficionados and casual drinkers.

The tasting room at Decantos Vinícola is notably spacious, featuring an inviting outdoor balcony that offers stunning views over the vineyards. It’s an ideal spot to unwind and sip wine while soaking in the tranquil landscape of Valle de Guadalupe. The ambiance here is relaxed and friendly, making it easy to spend hours just enjoying the scene and good company.

While the wines at Decantos may not be groundbreaking, they are fairly priced and pleasant tasting, which makes purchasing a few bottles to share among friends an easy decision. The overall value and experience of drinking wine in such a beautiful location add to the appeal.

I would definitely recommend Decantos Vinícola as a stop on any Valle de Guadalupe tour. It's a great place to appreciate the simple pleasures of good wine, good views, and good friends. Whether you're planning a leisurely afternoon or looking to explore the local wine scene, Decantos offers a welcoming and...

Disappointed in their service for a large group. My wife and I brought our close family and friends (about 35 people) here on a wine country trip and were excited to show them one of our favorite spots. We arrived shortly after they opened and we're excited to have most of the venue to ourselves. The AC was on as it was a very hot day and it was fine.

Once we settled in, we noticed the AC turned off. We asked what happened and they claimed it broke. What terrible timing. It became nearly unbearable inside with the heat but we persisted. About 10+ family members bought their hand Fans at 350 pesos each because we were trying to do anything to stay comfortable.

We're finally ready to leave and settle our bills. We spent over 20,000 pesos in total. As we're settling the bills and leaving, the AC turns on. And it's not a central AC unit, they are multiple separate units. I feel deceived and Decantos made extra fan sales. Overall, deceptive practices at best and we left sweaty and feeling cheated.

Update (8/16/25): Service is still lacking for large groups. Small groups you'll be fine, big groups you'll be...

This winery appears to be the life of the valley. There is always something going on here. I went for it's 1 year anniversary and had a great time with the live Baja California Orquestra. La Guerrerense was dishing out Tacos and some other well known Mexican chefs were dealing out Mexican fare. There is a great view of the entire Guadalupe Valley. They are producing a few different wines including Tempranillo, Cab and Rose'. I would recommend to take a tour with Mr. Alonso Granados, the owner of the vineyard as he is super nice and knowledgeable. He spent many years living and working in Northern Spain and so has alot of experience with wine. Sitting on the patio with some fruit/cheese plate and a bota of wine makes for a delightful...
