It feels like I'm in the twilight zone. I cant believe there are no bad reviews for this hotel. If I could choose zero stars, I would. I called to specifically request an accessible room for my grandmother. They assured me they would give us a room on the first floor close to the front or on another floor by the elevator. We check in and they literally give us a room at the very back of the hotel. My grandmother has to walk a block or 2 to get there. We asked if they had anything closer and they literally gave us the room right next to it. That's not the worst part. We walk in and we get hit in the face with the pungent smell of what I can only describe as armpit sweat body odor. It literally smells like cumin powder. So disgusting. We turn on the ac and spray the room with lysol and wipe surfaces down with wipes and you can still smell it. At this point its past midnight and my grandmother was already falling asleep. We go to complain about the smell and the filthy room and the manager on duty is apathetic. He offers to provide us with a wheelchair or to give us an another room. We go back to discuss it and my grandmother was already asleep so we decided to just stay. However, we called the manager to come and smell the room so he sees we're not exaggerating. Then we also notice what seems to be blood on one of the mattresses and black dirty handprints on the walls. Manager sends over a security guard, he couldn't even come see for himself. We point out all the filth and he takes pictures and apologizes and acts more professionally than the reception staff. We are very disappointed. We expected higher cleaning standards from a "Hilton" hotel, especially during this pandemic. Also, if they would've told us from the start that they didnt have any accessible rooms available we would have called...
Read moreI stayed at the Hampton Inn the week of December 2nd. The people working at the Inn are great. They are helpful and care. My room was on the 2nd floor. The rooms are clean and well kept. The cleaning staff was awesome. There was water in the hallway and the wall was peeling. The next day the water got worse. There were no signs that they were working on the problem. On Wednesday I got on the elevator and pushed the button for the first floor. The elevator moved and then stopped between floors. I pushed the 1st floor button again and nothing happened. I pushed the emergency button and it was broke. I opened the door for the phone and the phone was gone. I pounded on the door and then tried my cell phone. There was no service on the elevator. I pounded on the door again. No one heard. After a few more minutes the lights blinked and the elevator moved. I pushed the 1st floor button again and the elevator moved. Stepping off the elevator I was shook up. I told the front desk staff and they said they would have the elevator looked at. When I came back at the end of the day I asked if the elevator was looked at. They said no. She called the manager and told him about it. He didn't seem to be interested and didn't say he was going to do anything. I didn't use the...
Read moreMe and my husband stayed here for one night on a Saturday. The price was a little high for what we got. Our room was on the 1st floor and it was an old room with old dirty green carpet. But, the hotel is being renovated or so it was stated in the lobby-which did not apply to our room! We arrived early in the afternoon and could here the banging of the construction but we did not complain because we were tired of driving and it was not that late in the afternoon. Eventually the construction noise ceased but, since we were on the first floor we could here housekeeping ladies and other workers yell and talk to each other. I did turn on heat in the room to keep the noise in our room low. I do have to applaud them for their beds, at least the one we had was so comfortable and the pillows smelled clean and just perfect! The breakfast was not that great and included: scrambled eggs, out of can beans-SERIOUSLY, ?chilaquilis? which meant chips and you added the sauce, cauliflower with cheese, winners with some pimentos and red sauce, there was 2 types of juice, watermelon, pineapple and melon sliced, I think there was a plate with some white yogurt and you added some toppings to it but no individual packaged yogurt at all, also, breads. I will not be...
