Sehr große Pyramide in mitten der Stadt Izamal. Leider wurde während des Baus des Klosters in Izamal hier wohl Raubbau an den Steinen der Pyramide getätigt- trotzdem kann man die ursprüngliche Größe noch erahnen. Der Eintritt ist frei. Die ersten Treppen zur Spitze der Pyramide sind gut erhalten - um ganz zur Spitze zu gelangen muss man aber dann doch eher klettern weil , wir schon beschrieben, die Steine der Treppenstufen fehlen. Ein Weg über die seitlichen Terassen, an deren Ende ( um die Pyramide herum) auch Treppenartige Stufen sind ist ggf. Beim Aufstieg oder Abstieg hilfreich. Für Archäologisch Interessierte auf alle Fälke eine Empfehlung, auch wenn große Teile nicht mehr sichtbar oder abgetragen wurden. Nicht so rekonstruiert wie andere Maya Pyramiden aber dafür inmitten der Stadt und eben auch nicht künstlich wieder hergestellt.
