I ate the Torta Izamaleña with an americano con leche. I feel this is a $$ restaurant rather than $ since the day before I paid about the same amount at a $$ restaurant. There was nothing wrong with my torta ... but there was nothing right either. The food had little flavor and the chips were slightly soft rather than crispy. My bread tasted fresh but it was "greasy" - am not certain how else to describe it. I recognize I ate near the end of the night but every meal should be good, not merely the middle of the day meals! Service was good and the young man checked on me an appropriate amount. I had two coffees and I understand that gives the restaurant the right to charge for two (which they did) but almost always in Mexico I am normally only charged for one. We got sick in the previous town because of eating street food .We didn't had kitchen in our place .So I had to pick up food for both of us daily and when I found this place it was perfect . They had a lot of care with health ( ex : disinfecting hands , at the entrance; clean the tables and seats after every use ) . Really good 👍 And then the main part the food : You have plenty of variety and everything we ate was very tasty . All of that made me go there for 5 days straight for : Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner ....

Right in the centre. Authentic Mexican kitchen with very very delicious food. Came here to eat 3 times haha. Prices are very good. Mezcal was very good. I will eat here whenever I am in Izamal.
