We took a boat ride on La Cariñosa 💕 from Boca Tiomatlan to Yelapa where we met Hector (Hectorino) and his staff on arrival. Hector and his staff took great care of us. We were offered our own chairs and umbrella, a delicious michelada (full bar and food menu) and excursions. We rode horses thru the river back to the waterfall and enjoyed wading in the water with a bar located at the waterfall site also. Upon returning from our horse ride back to our chairs for relaxing I was reminded I had left my drink....they were kind enough to store it in the freezer and brought it back to me. I on the other hand took a horse and really enjoyed myself. I loved checking everything out, being up high, seeing all the vendors, plants, homes, children, and everything else along the way. The horses/mules are tame, but definitely don't like listening and don't enjoy the trip up. They can be difficult to control. My horse was pretty nice, but he sometimes didn't want to stop or make the correct turns. They definitely prefer to be home and will drag their feet going up and then try to get back as quickly...
