Beautiful place to visit day and night. Lots of venders during the day just be careful they will try to push products on you sometimes, but besides that it was great. Plenty of delicious food and drinks nearby. There are no free bathrooms so keep some coins on you, prices vary but a few 5-10peso coins should be enough. They do give bare minimum toilet paper also so bring some extra with you. At night most of the shops selling items close but the food stands and restaurants stay open. When I saw the church from outside I thought it was going to look good inside, but boy was I wrong. I stepped inside on the wooden floors and almost cried in amazment at it beauty. I thought the Cathedral in Guadalajara was beautiful but this surpassed the beauty of the Churches in Guadalajara. Yes there were a lot of tourists inside but the beauty surpassed the amount of tourists inside. From people walking on their knees to the people praying (myself included) this is one church not to be missed. I also learned to say no to some of the vendors selling rosaries outside the church. Weather was very hot and humid. A lot of visitors and faithful visitors. Have a lot of patience. Keep your little children on eye sight and holding their hands as is easy to get them loss with so many people. Very nice old church. A lot of food to choose from. All varieties of food, desserts, shopping stores and street vendors. Carry small purse across body preferable. Comfortable shoes and clothing. Take your time and compare prices.
