Takes me about 3h to go up and come down, but on a pretty decent pace without breaks. the quality of air above teleférico is amazing, it's also much cooler. Bring enough water and time your trip well, coming down in the dark is not much fun without a headlamp. You can use this path to go to Pico Norte also: it's much easier than the path from Contry. Continue past the teleférico and past the Jesus statue. A bit more up and you'll notice a small path going right from the paved path (see photo): that's where you start the trek to Pico Norte. It will not be as easy as the one to Teleférico, so be prepared to use your hands to climb.

It’s basically straight uphill the entire way, making for a pretty challenging hike. It’s exposed to the sun most of the time as well, so be prepared for that. I wasn’t sure where to start or how to get to the trailhead, but I parked outside of the neighborhood (where the security gate is) and walked in. This adds another 10 minutes and is a good warmup to start the hike.

this path will lead you to the telephone tower and by the mid point of your whole hike you will have some platform to take a break, great view from there, continue pushing through another hour and half is the peak. Amazing view! Total hike probably 5-9 hours depends on ur speed.

Great hiking spot, you'll have an amazing view of the city. The trail is the easiest to follow, super wide and with visitors most of the time. On Saturdays and Sundays there's a lady that sells bottled water, cokes and electrolytes for $40 MXN each, and also some snacks. Make sure you have enough water, it can get pretty hot and humid up there. Remember to pack your trash....
