Either we entered at the wrong place, or they have found a way to make tourists pay double. We entered by the ruins, and asked to pay for the walk to the lookout (mirador.) I speak fluent Spanish, yet the attendant made no indication there were options other than the walk or the boat tour. So we paid 70 pesos each to enter. We walked by the ruins (not actually interested in them) and made it to the boardwalk. There, another attendant told us it was an additional 50 pesos each to go to the lookout.
Other than that frustration, it was a nice jungle walk and a great view. We had to wait about 10 minutes for the people to come down from the tower, and we spent maybe 5 minutes up top. There is a nice breeze up top, and the trail to the left leads to the Laguna.

I find it not worth coming here if you are not going to take boat tour, which includes 45 minute swim down the channel in the lagoons. We didn't do it as it was too expensive (1000 pesos per person). The rest is just jungle, there is archeological site (if you are interested in history, this part is nice). Pathway to the lagoon is just jungle with nothing special to see and the viewpoint is okeish but keep in mind it might be scary to climb if you are coward like I am :). Read moreThe lookout tower can be reached by a small path from the ruins. If you then want to take a boat ride on the lake, it's definitely a very nice walk and I recommend not to miss it. The price is cheap and the views are beautiful. The tower itself is a bit of a challenge for people who are afraid of heights or don't trust rickety, creaky, wobbly wooden buildings :) But...
