Andrea that works at the ticket booth is a Liar! Walked from the cruise terminal to the water park and was told I couldn’t purchase water park only tickets at the park anymore which goes against everything I’ve read online. Everyone has said walk to the park and you can buy discounted tickets for water park only directly from the water park. Andrea instructed that I would have to walk back to the cruise terminal and purchase water park only tickets there as the park couldn’t sell them anymore. She said at the cruise terminal they would be $60 a person or if I wanted to buy the full park tickets at the window now they would be $129 each for the whole park zip lines and water park. We had a family of 9. I didn’t want to pay full ticket price so I walked all the way back to the cruise terminal and they had water park tickets for $90 each not $60. After talking to a manager at the cruise terminal they were able to sell us water park only tickets for $80 each for 8 of us and let the 9th person in for free. Basically came out to $71 a person. The real shady part was the woman working at the cruise terminal had Andreas phone number at the water parks ticket booth and texted her instructions. When I got back to the water park Andrea knew what I had paid at the cruise terminal and only gave us 8 bracelets for the water park and let the 9th person in without any bracelet. Not a single worker checked if we had a bracelet or not the whole day. So she absolutely could have helped us out originally and not made me walk back and could have sold us water park only bracelets. It really felt like the two women were skimming money from the water park and ultimately were just making prices up. I asked to speak to a manager at the water park and Andrea refused to call anyone. Horrible start to the day. Took over an hour to get into the park.
The slides are good. You will leave hurting. Concrete will mess your feet up. All slides they make you take your shoes or flip flops off. Some they will send down after you. Some slides they don’t and you have to walk all the way back up to get your sandals or shoes. Lots of stairs. You will feel every seam on the slides they hurt your back constantly. One of the slides is an enclosed tube that corkscrews into a toilet bowl that doesn’t have enough water running through it so your missing a layer of skin by the end of it and then it plops you into a 6ft pool at the end concussed and dizzy. I can’t stress enough to tuck your chin to against your chest at all times and cross your legs. You really can hit your head hard on these slides. If you are more than 220lbs you will be going down most of these slides extremely fast. Like almost feels you will fall out at times. They do not have any scales so proceed at your own risk. They were letting guys weighing 300 plus pounds down the slides it was really unsafe. Lockers are $5 each and small. Holds maybe 2 bags. Food and water prices are ridiculous. Bring your own. Lazy river wasn’t as bad as I have read. Just realize it’s more of an actual river water...
Read moreMy family came here on a cruise excursion. I loved the look of the place. They put a lot of work into the decor. You arrive in the gift shop first. Decent prices on essentials. We bought bug spray as the mosquitoes were terrible. Lots of things to do. Lazy river, water slides, children's slide/play area, pool, adult pool, ziplines, food/drinks and massages. We all loved the ziplines! They have all the gear you need and help you and your kids get geared up. There are a few different ziplines routes you can take. The entire course takes about 30-40 min if there aren't too many people in front of you. They were playing music near the kids area with swear words. Didn't think that was very appropriate for a family water park. The buffet prices are steep. $25/adult and $15/child. Normal Mexican foods. The guacamole didn't seem to be authentic but it may have been. Mixed drink prices were reasonable at $7 but the beer prices at $5 seem a little high compared to other places. It was $2 a beer at the dolphin discovery in Cozumel for reference. The walk ways are a little rough to walk on barefoot. I would definitely recommend water shoes or sandals. They sell water shoes at the gift shop. Lots of iguanas running around in the afternoon which the kids really liked! The slides were pretty fun. Leave your sunglasses at your chair though because they won't let you go down the slides with them on you, even in a swim suit pocket. Overall...
Read moreWas in Costa Maya on a port visit from a cruise ship. Definitely glad I waited to get off the ship to book because the cruise was only selling the tickets that included the zip lines and rope courses for $120. We were able to purchase water park only tickets for $59 as soon as we got in the port which also included transportation although the park is not far at all. I have teens and toddlers so I was predominately in the kiddy section while the older kids ran off. It’s a nice kid park which my 2 year old thoroughly enjoyed. There was no issue finding seating and shade as it’s not overly crowded. The teens were able to ride all of the slides in the temple. The food at the snack bar is just ok but decent enough to keep you from being hungry. I had the nachos and a margarita. It was nice that they brought my order to me right in the kiddy area. There was an incident where a kid vomited and the park was very attentive to clear the pool and put in chemicals. My only real complaint is that the lazy river was full of bugs and the mosquitos are on another level. I understand it’s the jungle but the area could be treated for mosquitoes. Bug spray didn’t help much. Overall I...
