La Casa del Rebozo — Attraction in San Luis Potosí

We visited La Casa del Rebozo last weekend and it was amazing from the time we walked in and start with the video and audio it is a great experience and start the walking thru and explaining step by step by Aracely Navarro all the way viewing and learning about the rebozo and when we meet with the actual real people performing the process and their attitude it was just stunning, besides the beauty of the actual rebozos, I would have to recognize and recommend as real art and Mexico should be proud of this type of entities. “El rebozo ha tejido entre sus hilos la historia de todo un país”

Amé conocer este lugar, que aunque es pequeño guarda mucha historia y arte! Actualmente dentro del mismo edificio se ubica el taller de Escuela de Rebocería donde si tienes fortuna puedes apreciar la difícil elaboración de un rebozo, que requiere mucha paciencia y habilidad.

Los antiguos rebozos de Santa María tenían solo cuatro colores: azul, café, negro y blanco, que era el color original de los hilos antes de teñirse, ahora se pueden encontrar distintos colores y combinaciones que hacen que esta prenda sea aún más hermosa

Recomiendo conocer todo el lugar pues desde la segunda planta hay una vista magnífica al cerro y en la planta baja al final están los artesanos 👌🏽
