Very beautiful park (Tampico's largest) situated along the western shore of the Laguna Carpintero with gorgeous views of the Cultural and Convention centers and Puente de Tampico across the water. There are several places to eat, a picnic area with playground, dog park and of course the amazing Rueda de Tampico, one of the largest ferris wheels in Mexico. It is also the best place to come if you want to see los juanchos or Mexican crocodiles. There is a very nice ferris wheel to ride in. There are different food stands. There is a dairy queen. There also is a very nice restaurant next to ferris wheel that also has drinks. Read moreNice area to go for a walk. There are crocodiles in the brackish water lagoon that actually escaped from a Zoo after a hurricane I was told. These reproduced in the lagoon and now there are many. They are dangerous. Never under any circumstances swim in the lagoon. Everybody who has tried has disappeared. These crocodiles are not native to Mexico or South ir Central America, they were brought in to the zoo from overseas. Just be advised.
