Cenote Homún "Hool Kosom" — Attraction in Yucatán

This was pur first cenote and it was a great one to start with. We started early with was a good thing because then you have the place for yourself. The lady that runs the place was very nice and friendly but she also doesn't not have standardized price written somewhere so don't pay more than $60 pesos per person with the life vest included. She has clean restrooms, a place to change clothes and she sells some waters, cokes and snacks. Loved this cenote as well! It was very peaceful & pretty. The water is very blue & clear. There is a rope in the center to hang on to, otherwise people use life jackets, which come with the entrance fee of Mxn$50. There are really cute little cleaner fish in it! En la región cercana a Homún existe un gran número de cenotes que pueden visitarse. Personalmente, varias personas de la zona me recomendaron este en particular, así que, siguiendo su consejo, llegué a una entrada sencilla, donde hay estacionamiento y una pequeña tiendita que vende bebidas y frituras. Ahí mismo rentan chalecos salvavidas —de uso obligatorio— y ofrecen sanitarios y un área para cambiarse; también puedes dejar algunas pertenencias de poco valor bajo resguardo en la tiendita. El cenote está muy cerca, y desde la escalera para bajar ya sorprende el labrado que el agua ha dejado en la piedra caliza. Al interior se encuentra un cuerpo de agua cristalina y realmente hermoso. La profundidad ronda entre los 3 y 5 metros, según lo que pude calcular. Cuenta con una pequeña plataforma de madera desde la cual puedes lanzarte al agua o simplemente contemplar cómo la luz entra por la dolina, acompañada del canto de las golondrinas. Si sumerges los pies, pequeños peces se acercan y te regalan una exfoliación natural. El tiempo pasa volando disfrutando del agua fresca, aunque no está permitido ingresar con alimentos.
