Cenotes Kampepén — Attraction in Yucatán

The old hacienda building has a charm even though it’s in ruins and has been reclaimed by nature. The area has three cenotes and one gruta. I thought Cenote Kixné was amazing, the place had a great energy and the hand-marks on the wall are amazing. The two bigger cenotes are lovely too but practically I felt that my time wasn’t enjoyable there, as there were LOADS of visitors (a group of 18 arrived to Cenote Chenké when I was there!!). Cenote Noria could be a breathtaking place - you need to time your visit, so there are less people and the place is enjoyable (there were over 25 people splashing around in their life vests - pretty off putting and noisy). I also found the man who manages the site pretty abrupt, so even though it could be a nice place it didn’t grow on me. Try to go during the week when there are less people or just choose a smaller cenote and support...

The reviews of this place say that it's very good, but we went into two cenotes and there was no light. In one, the stairs were unstable as we descended into a black hole. The Hacienda is staged. My husband wanted to take photos and it didn't work for him. We left pretty quickly after that. 180 pesos each was a lot to pay for a certain feeling of abuse. Les dejó mi recomendación y opinión, sobre la hermosa Hacienda Kampepén, es un lugar mágico y místico, mágico porque sus tres cenotes y la gruta que tienen, son muy bonitas, cada una con su propio encanto, el cenote "La Noria" fue mi favorito con aguas color azul turquesa, y una cantidad impresionante de estalactitas en la caverna, por otro lado su gruta tiene una historia mística, ya que tiene muchos más secretos de los que puedes imaginar y junto con su cenote de aguas bajas es ideal para los no saben nadar ❤️, la atención del personal es maravilloso, en lo caso el recorrido lo dio Miguel (si lees esto te mando saludos desde Edomex) una persona muy atenta y amable, su explicación sobre la hacienda me encantó, tanto que en el futuro espero volver, también en la recepción está Luis (saludos desde Edomex) tuve la fortuna de poder platicar con rato con él e igualmente es persona maravillosa, alegré y atenta, en general todo el personal es excelente, vale cada minuto que estás dentro del lugar y sin duda te deja maravillado y feliz, gracias por atención que...
