A beachfront oasis that dazzles with its turquoise waters and pristine sands, Larvotto Beach is a true gem of Monaco. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning natural beauty of the place. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the beach was well-maintained, providing a comfortable and inviting space to relax and soak up the sun.

As I took a dip in the crystal-clear waters, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience such a breathtaking location. The beach is a popular spot among tourists, but it never felt overcrowded, and there were plenty of activities available to keep me entertained, from water sports to beach volleyball.

What sets Larvotto Beach apart from other beaches in the area is its location, nestled right at the heart of Monaco. It's easily accessible, with plenty of parking available, and the beachside restaurants and bars offer a great selection of refreshments and snacks.

Although the facilities are top-notch, I did notice that some areas of the beach could benefit from a bit of maintenance. Additionally, the sun loungers could be more comfortable, and there were a few areas that could have used a bit more shade.

Overall, I had an incredible experience at Larvotto Beach and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a picturesque and relaxing day by the sea. I am likely to return to this beach and would encourage the owners to continue improving their facilities to provide the best experience possible for their guests. Thank you for providing such a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle...

Review: Larvotto Beach – Serenity and Family Comfort in the Heart of Monaco

Larvotto Beach, located in the heart of Monaco, is a beautifully maintained seaside spot that perfectly blends natural beauty with accessibility and comfort. Recently renovated, the beach offers a safe and welcoming environment for visitors of all ages — particularly families with children.

The shoreline is a mix of soft gravel and sand, making it comfortable to walk and relax on. The calm, shallow waters are ideal for kids and casual swimmers, thanks to the protected bay structure that keeps the sea gentle even on windier days.

What makes Larvotto Beach especially appealing is its easy access: it’s within walking distance from central Monaco, well-connected by public transport, and offers nearby parking. The promenade is flat and stroller-friendly, and the beach is equipped with clean public restrooms, showers, and facilities for people with reduced mobility.

Along the seafront, you’ll find a variety of restaurants and cafés — perfect for a leisurely lunch, a quick bite, or simply enjoying a drink with a view. The area is peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully designed for a full day of seaside enjoyment.

Our experience at Larvotto Beach was extremely negative. The maritime police (around 10 officers) told a group of Muslim women that because they wear the veil they could not swim or even stay on the beach, claiming that Monaco is a “Christian country”. They even told them to put my phone away and not look for information on their website that confirms this law.

However, Monaco’s own Constitution clearly states that everyone is free to practice their religion, and on both the government website and the beach rules there is no mention of any ban on veil, burkini, or modest clothing. I even witnessed inconsistent treatment: a foreign man was forced out of the water for wearing long pants, while a white woman wearing bikini with long pants was left undisturbed. There were topless women at the beach which were undisturbed, so in short you can stay naked in front of people and children but not with clothes on you.

One officer even said: “I wouldn’t walk around with a cross in Muslim countries,” which was completely inappropriate, discriminatory, and offensive. Their behavior was extremely authoritarian, rude, and clearly targeted against us for our religion and appearance.

This was not the welcoming or respectful image of Monaco...
