The ski center has been named after the elevation of the starting point of the six-seated detachable cable car, and the location of the base station where the 5-star restaurant Troglava 5* is located. Restaurant Troglava 5* has been built in the spirit of contemporary mountain ambiance with a capacity of 400 seats. The cuisine in the restaurant is based on traditional Montenegrin dishes prepared in the authentic way of the Bjelasica Region. The fresh mountain air with homemade wine and local products leaves no one indifferent. On the ground level of the base station, there is a cafe bar where guests can enjoy hot and cold, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The cafe bar serves a complete lower terrace of the base station where music concerts and other cultural entertainment programs are organized very often.
The ski center also offers a ski school and what is very important for all beginners is that they learn the proper techniques of these disciplines during the learning process. Experienced instructors introduce all beginners to the world of skiing and snowboarding so that this sporting discipline becomes a structural part of their lives. Bearing that in mind, ski center Kolašin 1600 included the services of a ski school in its offer, as well as the ski draglift. Within the base station of the ski center, there is also a ski rental, which is equipped with skiing and snowboarding equipment. Employees will quickly and efficiently serve all visitors of the ski center who need equipment. If guests should need additional consultations regarding equipment selection, they can additionally contact the ski rental staff who will listen to them carefully and kindly provide them with...
Read moreA tiny, crowded, and chaotic ski rental office. One person was responsible for everything—ski boots, skis, helmets, poles—so every customer took ages to get served. I visited in late December 2024, and while it wasn’t overly crowded, the service was terrible. The person in charge, an older man who looked to be in his 60s, was incredibly rude.
I was waiting in line to rent ski equipment, and there was a family of four ahead of me. After waiting 20 minutes for all of them to finish trying on their gear, I thought it was finally my turn. But instead, the rude staff member completely skipped over me to collect returned equipment from another customer next to me. This wasn’t because the gear was all rented out—he just ignored me. This happened three times in a row. It wasn’t until a fourth customer pointed out that I had been waiting forever that he finally served me, and even then, there was no apology.
Later that day, I returned the equipment at 4 PM, as my lesson ended then. The same rude guy scolded me for being 15 minutes late, even though the ski center’s website said it closed at 4:30 PM. There was no information about return times on the rental page, and he hadn’t mentioned anything when handing me the equipment earlier. I have all the respect in the world for people who work hard, but for this guy? Just...
Read moreWe arrived today for skiing but the resort was closed. No information on the internet about this. The latest available information for the resort was that it was open. The parking lot is still in a really bad shape, full of mud and ice, but at least there is parking. We tried to go to the 1450 ski resort, where there is absolutely no parking at all. It was also closed or at least the responsible guy for the lift was still still discussing if he wanted to open or not, as the snow situation was very poor. Just so you know, even if it says on the internet page of the 1600 resort that the tickets are valid for both the 1600 and the 1450, this is not the case. You have to choose where to ski, both is not possible, at least not this year. You really wonder how they will be able to attract foreign tourists if the organization...
