We took the cable car as a last minute weekday activity, and there were no queues mid-afternoon. Please bear in mind that if you arrive at the cable car station by taxi it's much cheaper to let the taxi driver pick you up from the top and only pay for the cable car in one direction. Views from the top are magnificent but the seafret can vary hour by hour, so best not to book in advanced because of this or you might be very disappointed. There are some interesting information boards dotted around that cover the history of the C kasbah and the earthquake that destroyed it and so many lives. What I feel was lacking was information about the future plans for when it gets reopened in a couple of years time as a new attraction. The only frustration was it became very annoying that everybody up there tries to heckle you, from street sellers to camel riding offers, even including the people wearing lanyards (who I'm guessing were staff there to provide help), who simply point at the information boards then stand behind you with their hand out expecting a tip for their services. Go expecting this to happen, and enjoy what really is an interesting place that forms the historical core of the city.

Agadir Oufella is a breathtaking hilltop spot offering stunning panoramic views of Agadir and Morocco’s Atlantic coastline. I took a fun 10 minute cable car ride to reach the summit for just £10. The aerial journey provided glimpses of the port and Kasbah as we sailed up over palm trees and local villages. Once at the top, the sweeping vistas across the bay and beaches are incredible. You can admire the city and harbor stretched along the shore, bracketed by the mighty Atlas Mountains inland. Nearby signs also pointed out various neighborhoods and landmarks visible from the lookout spots. The photo opportunities are spectacular - especially at sunset with golden light flooding the scene. For a unique photo memory, there are camel rides available for a small fee. I did a brief tour on my friendly camel guide, culminating in shots against the scenic coastal backdrop that I’ll cherish.

Would definitely recommend a visit. We decided to walk up because it was a bit of a cooler, cloudier morning and it was a really nice walk. We didn't time it but would think the 45 mins from the bottom of the path is a good estimate. The path is very uneven though. Most people seemed to use the cable cars instead. There was lots of interesting information about Agadir and the fort with old photos and maps I was very happy to read/look at. There were people offering camel rides, snake holding and selling things around one area of the fort which was nice to see and they didn't hassle us which was a nice change. We couldn't go inside the fort but getting to see the views of Agadir and the mausoleum and have a bit of a walk round the outside with the cooling breeze. Definitely a good activity to learn a little about the history of the area.

If you like taking pictures on high and beautiful views for background, than you just found the spot. History of this place, very tragic with many dead. Best not to get to attached. But man the view! On one side you have the, Harbor with birds flying and fishing ships a bay, on the other side the view of the city, on another side view of mountains in another side view of the ocean, how many sides are we on? I don’t even know any more. But it’s worth the 80 dirhams for two person and you have Around 20 up there. It’s okay I think. Enough time to take pictures and enjoy the view for some more minuets. Don’t be up there too long, it was a graveyard over 300,000 dead at some point. Told you not to get attached.

The Kasbah of Agadir Oufla is a historical landmark in Agadir, Morocco that housed the old city of Agadir, much of which was affected by the earthquake that struck the city. The fort is located on the top of a mountain rising 236 meters above sea level in the north of the town of Agadir near the current port.
