قلعة موسى _ قصة لبنانية لطيفة <3 قلعة موسى تقع بين دير القمر وبيت الدين في لبنان. وقد بناها موسى عبد الكريم المعماري (ولد في 27 يوليو 1931م) و قد كان موسى طالباً عندما حلم ببناء هذا القصر وقد رسم حلمه على قطعة من الورق في الصف لم يكن موسى جاداً في دراسته حتى أن استاذه اعتاد على السخرية منه قائلًا له: "أنت لن تحقق شيئا". بين عامي 1951 و1962م قال انه حضَّرَ كل شيء لتحقيق مخططه بما في ذلك شراء الأراضي والمخططات وفي عام 1962م بدأ عمله الحياة وبنى القلعة بيديه مستخدماً كل من الحجارة والطين حيث وضع رسومات التي كانت تمثل مشاهد مختلفة من الحياة القرية اللبنانية القديمة في القرن 19م ،مما جعل من العمل رؤية وإبداع حقيقي بكل الوسائل . سيرة موسى عبد الكريم المعماري الذي ترجع أصوله الى "حارة السرايا" في سوريا. لم تكن حياة "موسى" عادية على الإطلاق بل رحلة طويلة وشاقة اختبر فيها الفقر قبل أن يحقق حلمه وينجح في تغيير مستقبله. ولد "موسى" في العام 1931 في عائلة متواضعة تمتهن العمارة، ومثل العديد من أترابه، وقع الشاب الذي ينتمي للطبقة الفقيرة في حب زميلته في الصف إلا أن حبيبته كانت تحلم بالعز فلم تكترث لمشاعره بل رفضته وارتبطت بشابٍ ميسور. هذه الحادثة كانت كافية لقلب حياة "موسى"، الذي عوضاً عن الاستسلام قرر أن يبني قصراً يضاهي جمال قصور الملوك وأصحاب الثروات، متحدياً جميع من سخروا منه بما في ذلك أستاذه في المدرسة. ففي إحدى حصص الرسم، رسم موسى معالم القصر الذي وعد حبيبته به زاعماً أنه سيبنيه يوماً من الأيام، غير أن الأستاذ "أنور" اعتبر أن "موسى" يسخر منه، فضربه ومزّق الرسم ورمي الورقة على الأرض. تناول الفتى الصورة الممزقة وغادر الصف مصمماً أكثر من أي وقت مضى على تحقيق حلمه. قرر موسى عام 1945 من دون علم أحد ترك المدرسة والعائلة والسير من طرطوس إلى صيدا وساعد موسى عمه في ترميم القلعة البحرية، فاكتسب الخبرة اللازمة في مجال "الترميم". ثم عيّنه الأمير موريس شهاب المسؤول عن تجديد القلاع والاكتشافات الأثرية التي عثر عليها في لبنان في المتحف الوطني في بيروت عام 1947. كما تم تعيينه لاحقاً لتثبيت الكولونات القديمة المكتشفة في أراضي بلدية بيروت. وفي قصر بيت الدين، أعاد ترميم متحف الأمير بشير الشهابي الثاني. وقد تمكن الشاب من أن يجمع 15 ألف ليرة لبنانية من أجل أن يتزوج ابنة قائمقام منطقة "دير القمر"، حيث اشترى قطعة أرض و بدأت المهمة الحقيقية عام 1962 وباشر موسى بناء قصره في بيت الدين حيث كان يحمل الطين والحجارة الثقيلة بنفسه. وبعد عقودٍ عدة، أصبح القصر جاهزاً لاستقبال الناس، إذ كان موسى يحرص على الترحيب شخصياً بالزوار القادمين من لبنان وخارجه ويقص عليهم مغامراته وتفاصيل حياته الشيّقة .

This was a mind boggling display of history created by 1 man and his wife. It took him about 60 years to polish off. He basically created a castle complete with a medieval history of Lebanon. In my photos you will see a scene where some kid is being bashed. That’s Moussa. He use to get whipped by his teacher for having unique ideas. His classmates also were quite cruel. Other photos show my fam poking around and a plaque of Moussa’s beliefs. He built the scene of the last supper too. There was a room full of old weapons which was so awesome. They had people dress up and play instruments. It was totally worth the visit. Also I met 1 girl with the deathly hallows tattooed on her arm. We had a Harry Potter moment.

Built almost entirely by one man, the castle is the result of over 60 years of dedication, vision, and perseverance. As a young boy mocked for his dream of building a castle, Moussa set out to prove the doubters wrong. Stone by stone, he constructed his masterpiece using traditional methods and incredible attention to detail. Inside, the museum showcases a wide range of Lebanese heritage, with life-sized wax figures dressed in traditional attire, reenacting scenes of daily village life from the past. From craftsmen at work to family gatherings and rural traditions, every display offers a vivid glimpse into Lebanon's cultural history. A must see if you’re in the area!!

The exterior is very much castle like, the interior however is a bit disappointing (no special architecture, nothing traditionally Lebanese). The only traditional activity inside was a nice cup of coffee served with a nice traditional song. The exhibition inside is half historical half a bit childish. If you’re interested in arms you would admire the collection they have, besides that, there’s nothing really spectacular to discover except for the heartwarming story behind the construction of the palace. I would say that the entrance fee is rather high compared to the content of the castle, its organization, and the information given during the visit.
