Should have been honestly called "warm" springs: the water is about 35-40 degrees, lower then in other hot springs of Gandaki province. The infrastructure of the facility is constantly "under process", due to landslides and mudslides, which change landscape every monsoon (last in July 2024) There are totally 5 pools: 2 small old ones, 1 upstairs next to toilets, 1 big next to locker rooms, and 1 big down below. The only operational at the moment (august 2024) is only one pool, others require major cleaning. The roof of the locker room is small and hardly can fit 6 people. All the site is full of construction trash, which makes place ugly. Stairs from Jhinu Danda village are poorly maintained and have a lot of slippery parts. There is a small Hindu temples nearby, which looks abandoned and overgrown with weed. Lack of maintenance and safety make the site not worthy of paying 200 rs entrance fee. But for case of relaxing body after long hike, and enjoying river roaring andre wild nature around , is quite suitable. Especially plesurable during...

The pools are a good depth - when you sit down the water comes up to your shoulders. I went with a group of 12 and we had plenty of space in one pool. Each one would take around 15 people comfortably. There's 3 rudimentary changing cubicles by the first 2 pools.
Only downside is the long, steep walk down - maybe 15 mins down and a sweaty 20 mins up. Mostly steps so just like being on the trail. I wouldn't let that put you off going though - just wear...
Read moreI've only been to one other hot spring in Nepal and that was in Tatopani.
Maybe I'm too much of a soft NYC Capitalist Consumer, but I found the lack of maintainence of the pools and their temperature, lack of any kind of services, and the long, demanding, and dark hike a bit too demanding for my soft, fleshy mind and body.
I preferred the much more commercialized Tatopani hot spring where I could enjoy a beer and boiled egg under bright floodlights and watchful gaze of the hot spring mama-sans.
Also I got a Tiger Leech here. Kind of a plus tbh because I've never had a benign...
