Read moreHaving confusion where to go on weekends near kathmandu,me being a local resident of khokana,lalitpur I recommend sikalai chaur,khokana though there is no public toilet(making in progess) till now it's one of ta best place to hangout with friends,family ,go on a picnic the view from here is best (espacilly in the month of assar to shrawan when the fields of khokana is filled with beautiful view of rice plantation.) and also holds one of the oldest jatra(sikali jatra) which carries its own cultura values. Note:while going to sikali you should know something important about the temple that is present in sikali chaur that it is forbidden to bring/eat chicken meat and egg in the premises...

You can go for hike from Khokana or from bhaisepati, now you can even go from Taudaha, a short few mins hike. ull get to walk in the middle of the fields depending upon the season. You can also go for family picnic, dry picnic, friends catchup, or even sporty thing.. Currently its becoming a dating spot. please keep it clean!
