Mardi Himal trek is the most adventures trek for life time experience which we had never before. This is the moderate and shortest terk we ever did in Nepal.
This journey take us through beautiful valleys, ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Porject), rhododendron forest, modify landscape that offers magnificent view of himalayas ranges.
The highlights of the ranges are Machhapuchhare, Annapurna, Manaslu, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna and Mardi Himal.
We have followed the below itinerary:
Day 01: Drive to Kande from Pokhara, Kande is the starting point for us. From Kande to Australian Camp, which is about one and half hour walk we reached our first tea break point where we took beautiful pictures. Continue walk to Pothana for our lunch. This is the beautiful village enroute here we can experience Nepali village life and culture. After lunch we reached to Pitam Deurali for overnight.
Day 02: On this day, we took breakfast and continue to our next destination low camp. Enroute we pass through forest camp and rest camp. We enjoyed our lunch here in rest camp and continued walking to Low camp.
Day 03: Today our target to reach high camp which is bit challenging due to uphills.
Day 04: On this day we wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise from the Mardi Himal Base camp. It is about 4 to 5 hours walk to come back at high camp. We enjoyed our late lunch here and continued walking to Badal Danda for overnight.
Day 05: After breakfast approximately 5 hours hike we reached to Siding village and catch the sharing jeep and drive to Pokhara city.
The best time for this trek is March, April, October and November. If we are lucky enough even in June and July we can experience the beautiful himalayas.
Do carry nuts, candy and some others snacks as the more we reached to higher altitude we will get only basic meals. As we need to walk 5 to 6 hours each day hence some extra energy we always deserve.
We wish you all the best who want to do this trek in the...
