The guided tour at Echo was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Nestled amidst the Rincon Valley, the conservation centre serves as a great education space to learn more about the Yellow-shouldered Amazon Parrots and the dry forest habitat that supports them and other wildlife. It was great to see some of the captive population up close to truly appreciate these special birds.
Our knowledgeable guide Julianka provided fascinating insights into the wildlife on site and across the island.

As amateur birders and naturalists, we were interested to learn about the green shouldered Amazonian parrot (Lora) and the center’s conservation goals. She was knowledgeable about native plant restoration and educating the younger generation about valuing their natural heritage. She explained the center’s conservation work and habitat restoration projects. We were delighted by the two resident “ambassador” parrots and enjoyed observing their feeding time. The center offers a tranquil and relaxing time and opportunity to learn about and support this...

You'll want to wear sturdy shoes and have a water bottle in case you get thirsty. You can buy t-shirts, hats and give a donation at the end...
