Fort near Edam — Attraction in Edam-Volendam

This was a fantastic visit! We visited with a 9yo and a 17yo and they both really enjoyed it. The fort holds so much information but it's the guide who made the whole experience big fun! We were actually trying to find some freshness in the sweltering heat and thought we'd found a stuffy museum but Theo brought the whole thing to life. Very interesting place. We are a family of four, children aged 8 and 10 (boy and girl). Some excellent rooms displaying war time artifacts to the local flora and fauna. We had a tour with Hein who spoke good English and was very knowledgeable on Dutch history. I would definitely recommend taking the time and have the tour you will learn so much more.
