Muzeeaquarium Delfzijl — Attraction in Eemsdelta

Such a nice spontaneous visit. The staff was so friendly and loved a chat. Its a lot more impressive than i expected and its right at the beach so right away you can stay in the theme getting out the museum. Interactive for children and adult with small little gems that I wont spoil. A very impressive collection of shells, rocks and fossils and a joy to walk through their little aquarium. Its not too busy so you can take you sweet A** time and read every thing you want. Everything is also wheel chair accessible with nonsteep ramps and no tight spaces.

A nice modern museum with a small and outdated aquarium. The museum is nice with lots of miniature boats and lots of great information. Nice section of seashells and rocks. The aquarium is a let down. It is located in an old bunker. It is not well illuminated and with our visit half of the aquarium was in complete dark, cold and moist. With a risk of hitting your head on the low ceiling. Actually being able to see the fish in an aquarium...

Very small museum with a focus on maritime (ships & stuff, a small aquarium section inside an old bunker) and regional (archeological findings in the area, German occupation of Delfzijl and usage of said bunker during WW2) history. Our group spent a couple of very informative hours inside.

Btw: You can write messages on a display via Morse telegraph which is way more fun than it...
