I would highly recommend the National Swimming Center the Tongelreep for anyone looking for a place to take swimming lessons. The instructors, especially meneer Philip, meneer Renee and Juf Leticia, are incredibly patient and sincere, as are all the other instructors that we've interacted with. In just 5 months, I've seen my boys make huge progress in their swimming abilities. My oldest son started in the basic shallow pool and is now confidently swimming in a 2-meter depth pool. My younger son, who couldn't swim at all before, has made remarkable progress and is now confident and skilled in the pool. Going to the National Swimming Center the Tongelreep for swimming lessons is always a fun experience for my boys. The facilities are top-notch and up to good standards. I couldn't be happier with the quality of instruction and the progress that my boys have made. If you're looking for a great place for your kids to learn how to swim, I highly recommend giving this center a try.

Great place to swim and not only because it is close by for me. Now, since about two and a half years ago I started a short swimming course. Twelf weeks crawl course. Back then it was difficult enough for me to get to the other side of the fifty meter pool. Nowadays I try to practice several times a week and is swimming my way to stay physically fit and to clear my mind. Especially the Olympic size pool is a real joy to cross. Good water temperatures!

This is a beautiful 10 lane 50 meter pool with an 8 lane 25 meter pool behind it. Plenty of seating for large events and a great, friendly, helpful staff. Our swim league (EFSL) rents this pool for our championship meet and have had nothing but great experiences! They’ve got a cafe and shop on site as well, as well as plenty of bathrooms and meeting rooms.

The place is well equipped and meets all the expectation for a Swimming center. There are separate pools for professional training and for the visitors and certain memberships only the small pool is allowed. I was okay with that and paid 6 euro for the day ticket. But the bad experience was with one of the Swimming instructors. I'm not a professional swimmer. I swim because I enjoy it and it helps me stay fit. After a couple of sprints, I was giving it a minute before going for the next. That's when the instructor came to me and told me that he don't want to see me around unless I can do breaststrokes with proper frog kicks. I felt really bad. Because this wasn't a question when I was enquiring at the reception or buying the ticket. All they asked me was, whether I can swim and do I have a swim suit. If you have certain rules for the pool, then you should highlight that before the entry. If there were communication from the ticket desk, then I wouldn't have bought the tickets or planned to visit your center.

I'm sure he came up with that new rule for a reason and he might do that again. So be aware of asking these questions before you buy a membership or day ticket...
