Splesj — Attraction in Halderberge

Visited today. Overall a nice waterpark, green and sources out with nice water slides, but it has some drawbacks. We visited with two small children. The information on the website is not clear so we also bought a ticket for the baby, which was not necessary. There was no warning on the website that the baby area was broken and not working for the day. So we kind of spent almost 50 euros for nothing. Also no supervisor on site, to discuss this. The water in the other children's pool(the one by the entrance with the ship decoration, was freezing cold, so we ended up staying in the other deeper pools with the children. Also, the pools do not have a shallow water ditch around them, which means everybody ends up carrying all sorts of dirt and leaves on their feet into the pools themselves and the water gets quite dirty because of this. Not a minute but a point of attention : the slides close half an hour earlier than the waterpark itself, which makes perfect sense, because you would not want staff to chase every last client up and down the slides at closing time, but as a guest, don't leave the slides enjoyment at the last minute of your stay. It was fun with 3 kids but not really a place i would travel far to get to again. The paddle boats on a little pond are fun. Well equipped playground area. Longest Lines for the slides were about 5 minutes on a very hot day but some were shorter too. Food was just expensive snack bar fare so good to take your own. I was disappointed by lack of guidance upon entering. There were no lockers to be found outside. Toilets are outhouse style and lack soap and warm water and we did not seem to find the location of the showers. Seems to me that should be the first stop a water facility wants to lead guests to. If it was a nearby destination for me i might rate it higher since the slides were fun. Kids loved them. but the other areas in my review like ease of shower accessability, lockers, communication and lack of healthy snack choices lowered it to a 3 from...

Wat een geweldige dag hebben we gehad in waterpark Splesj! We waren blij verrast door de enorme verscheidenheid aan glijbanen die de kinderen dolenthousiast maakten. Ze zaten vol adrenaline terwijl ze van de ene buiteling naar de andere roetsjten. Het was een waar spektakel!

Nu moet ik eerlijk zijn, het zwembad zelf leek nog hetzelfde als toen ik hier voor het laatst was, bijna 30 jaar geleden. Het heeft duidelijk een opknapbeurt nodig om een beetje bij te blijven met de tijden. Maar laten we eerlijk zijn, wie komt er naar een waterpark voor het zwembad? Het draait allemaal om die epische glijbanen!

Gelukkig was het vandaag niet al te druk, wat betekende dat we niet hoefden te wachten in eindeloze rijen voor een adrenalinekick. Maar ik kan me voorstellen dat op drukke dagen de wachttijden behoorlijk lang kunnen worden. Het zou geweldig zijn als het park hieraan zou werken om de ervaring voor alle bezoekers nog leuker te maken.

Een ander pluspunt was de voldoende ruimte om te zonnen. Ik had mijn comfortabele ligstoel strategisch geplaatst, zodat ik de kinderen in de gaten kon houden terwijl ik van de zon genoot. Het was bijna alsof ik op een mini-vakantie was. Geweldig!

Wat betreft de toiletten, ze waren prima. Ze waren schoon en functioneel, wat altijd een pluspunt is. Niets is erger dan het moeten bezoeken van een smerig toilet terwijl je plezier wilt hebben.

Al met al hebben we een fantastische dag gehad in waterpark Splesj. Het is misschien niet het meest moderne waterpark, maar het heeft zeker zijn charme. Als je op zoek bent naar een nostalgisch avontuur met een frisse twist, dan is dit de plek voor jou. Zorg er gewoon voor dat je op een rustige dag komt, anders zou je wel eens meer tijd in de wachtrij kunnen doorbrengen dan...
