Bosbergtoren — Attraction in Ooststellingwerf

Amazingly cool viewpoint. Hidden between the trees yet being quite a massive structure. Entrance fee is 2 euro per persoon, kids up to the age of 4 are free. You can easily buy your ticket from the website and scan the QR code that comes out of it or even more easy just tap your bank card or phone with nfc payments against the reader and you can enter. Works really well. Easy stairs going up. Love the different height platforms. There's also a perfectly well working elevator which you can use. Free parking across the street. Amazing place....

For 2,50€ it is a quite pricy experience for such a tower. But when you're up there, you have a very nice overview of the surroundings. And because everything is flat you can see really far! But then again, it is really flat and so there is not too much to see. But the surroundings are very nice for taking a walk through the forest. There's a broad paved path up to the tower (very suitable for wheelchairs), but you have to take quite a detour as it doesn't start at the main...

When you reach the top stairs you get a lovely treat that consists of clouds of micro flies before you can enjoy the incredible views. The stairs are an easy walk so why take the elevator? Wheelchair accessibility is questionable... the road toward the tower is naturally made of sand and roots but for those who have a disability and depend on others the way to the entrance is rather long......
