Schaatsmuseum — Attraction in Súdwest-Fryslân

The best museum about ice-skating in general. From the history and design of the skates, to the famous Elfstedentocht with even a frozen toe on display. This is a very nice museum. We live nearby and I really like to go there with visitors from all nationalities. Even for people who don't know the skating culture it is a pleasant visit . We usually spent 1 1/2 to 2 hours and I discover new things all the time. The owners did a great job and collected an unusual amount of interesting stuff. Large selection of pancakes and coffees with a loc Friesland twist. The owners put good effort into the menu and food preparation.

Put of all the restaurants in Hindeloopen, this one stands out above the rest for food, location (there's a nice view from the deck onto a small canal) and decor.
