Beach House 25 — Attraction in Sluis

Nachdem es in der „Puur Strandbar“ nicht so gut gelaufen war, bin ich weiter den Strand entlanggelaufen und kam zum „Beach House 25“. Das Beach House hat ein ganz tolles Ambiente – alles ist in Holz gehalten, und der Wohlfühlfaktor ist sofort eine glatte 10.

Kaum hatte ich mich hingesetzt, stand schon eine junge Dame bei mir und fragte, ob ich etwas trinken möchte. Ich bestellte mir einen Pfefferminztee mit frischer Minze. Ich hatte mich noch gar nicht richtig hingesetzt und wollte gerade etwas aus meiner Tasche holen – da stand der Tee schon auf meinem Tisch. Ich war wirklich erstaunt!

Die Mädels dort waren alle super nett, freundlich und sehr bemüht, jeden Gast hervorragend zu bedienen. Als das Mädel ein zweites Mal rauskam, bestellte ich mir eine Pfannekuchen mit Butter und Zucker. Auch dieser kam in weniger als zehn Minuten. Ich musste ein wenig schmunzeln – ich konnte nicht mal eine Zigarette rauchen, weshalb ich ja draußen saß, so schnell war das Essen da.

Ich genoss meinen zweiten Tee, aß meinen Pfannekuchen und ging später – als es wieder anfing zu regnen – hinein. Höflich fragte ich, ob ich drinnen sitzen dürfe, und man sagte mir, ich könne mich hinsetzen, wo ich wolle. Ich war ein gern gesehener Gast.

Obwohl ich allein war, durfte ich ohne Probleme an einem Vierer- oder sogar Sechsertisch sitzen. Niemand sagte, ich würde einen Platz blockieren oder stören, falls noch mehr Gäste kämen.

Ich muss sagen: Von Anfang bis Ende wurde ich hier großartig bedient. Die Preise sind wie überall – aber das gesamte Drumherum, auch die Sauberkeit, ist hier einfach top.

Selbst wenn etwas herunterfiel, bückten sich die Mädchen und hoben es sofort auf – sie ließen nichts liegen oder erwarteten, dass die Gäste es selbst tun. Im Großen und Ganzen: Wäre ich am ersten Tag schon auf dieses Lokal gestoßen, wäre ich gar nicht woanders mehr hingegangen.

Ich vergebe hier fünf Sterne – für das Ambiente, für die Bedienung, den Service – einfach für alles!

After things didn’t go so well at the “Puur Strandbar”, I continued walking along the beach and came to “Beach House 25”. The Beach House has a truly wonderful atmosphere – everything is made of wood, and the feel-good factor is an instant 10 out of 10.

As soon as I sat down, a young lady approached me and asked if I’d like something to drink. I ordered a peppermint tea with fresh mint. I hadn’t even properly settled in or managed to get anything out of my bag when the tea was already on my table. I was genuinely surprised!

All the girls here were super nice, friendly, and made a real effort to give every guest excellent service. When the same girl came out a second time, I ordered a pancake with butter and sugar. That too arrived in less than ten minutes. I had to smile to myself – I didn’t even manage to smoke a cigarette (which is why I was sitting outside) before the food arrived!

I enjoyed my second tea, ate my pancake, and then – when it started raining again – I went inside. I politely asked if I could sit indoors, and they told me I could choose any seat I liked. I felt like a truly welcome guest.

Even though I was on my own, I was allowed to sit at a table for four or even six people without being told I was taking up space or causing inconvenience in case more guests arrived.

I have to say: from start to finish, I was treated excellently here. The prices are the same as everywhere else, but the overall atmosphere – and the cleanliness – were outstanding.

Even if something fell to the ground, the staff would bend down immediately and pick it up – nothing was left lying around, and they didn’t expect guests to deal with it themselves. All in all: if I had discovered this place on my first day, I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else.

I’m giving five stars – for the atmosphere, the service, the staff – simply...

We hebben twee dagen geleden hier wat gegeten en gedronken. Qua drinken was het op het suikerzakje ipv de honing na best oké. Maar het eten was verschrikkelijk nou lijken mij poffertjes niet moeilijk te verkloten maar deze gasten wisten tot twee keer toe mijn eetlust te verpesten. De eerste keer waren de poffertjes nog compleet bevroren van binnen en de tweede keer net aan lauw. Mijn man had een uitsmijter waarvan de onderkant echt vies donkerbruin was van aangebrand vet en deeltjes van de pan. Mijn poffertjes heb ik teruggestuurd, ze deden er nogal laconiek over alsof het de normaalste zaak van de wereld was. Eigenlijk was ik van plan om ook mijn man z’n bord op te pakken en terug te brengen maar hij vond het niet zo’n groot probleem. Als ls je poffertjes uit een zakje van een of andere supermarkt/groothandel nog bevroren op je bord geserveerd krijgt voor 15,- dan mag je je toch best wel gaan schamen

Bij het afrekenen heeft de serveerster nog gevraagd of alles naar wens was. Maar na ons antwoord, “dat dit zeker niet het geval was”. Ging ze schouderophalend verder met afhalen van de tafel. Zelfs toen ze de rekening presenterende bood ze geen excuses aan… Schouderophalend oh wat vervelend en verder. Dus voor ons een enorme afknapper en gaan we hier niet meer heen. Wellicht treffen andere een betere chef/jeugdmedewerker....

Very nice place on the beach, the food and service were great. I had the salmon which was cooked perfect accompanied with a tasty white wine sauce.

The restaurant is also wheel chair accessible. You are able to eat outside on the terrace. Sanitary facilities were in order. Beer menu could be expanded it’s a bit too main stream...
