The Cape Forests — Attraction in Utrechtse Heuvelrug

This is one of the few forestry areas in the Netherlands that attracts a lot of people also tourists. It's beautiful, calm, and clean. If you are the outdoors person looking to take a nice walk and then be able to relax in a Cafe and enjoy a brunch, this would be a great choice. It's pretty big and the national parks stretches out in a vast area. It's great for biking or hiking. In the winter it gets really nice too. Someone suggested this place to visit as it's Heather blooming season and the whole place turns shades of purple and violet. We saw our first heather and also had our first forest experience. There's a lot of trails here, and quite a few things to see on your pathway. I would suggest using an app like komoot to check out spots on your trail or else they're quite easy to miss! Also, helps you keep track of your trail.

Wonderful place and well maintained. Pathways have signposts, there's dedicated ones for horses as well. I only explored the woods, and not much of the cafes or fun buildings. The experience was all very good, I recommend for hiking, horseriding, biking, as well as for relaxing...
