Heerenstraat Theater — Attraction in Wageningen

Very friendly staff, at least we thought. We went there to buy tickets at the counter the day before, because online you're only able to pay with a Dutch bank account. She even asked if it was okay to have a "couples seating". We were very excited to watch Asteroid City last Wednesday, especially in those comfy seats. When we arrived we figured out that we were placed in row 6, which - compared to all the other seats - are old (, and a little itchy) seats. We felt treated like second class. Other than that it looks like a nice place, just make sure not to get the seats in...

Hele mooie bioscoop, en we zijn hier al vele jaren naar allerlei films geweest... Helaas zijn de aanvangstijden tegenwoordig voor ons compleet onlogisch: rond 18:00 of pas veel later in de avond. Doordeweeks naar de film lukt dus niet als je overdag moet werken - da's alleen leuk voor studenten. En het aanbod is veranderd. Grote films komen hier nauwelijks, het zijn vooral kinderfilms en wat Art House achtige dingen, en misschien een grote naam verstopt in het rijtje (en dan weer om 18:00 beginnen of pas 21:30...)

Maar de zalen zijn ronduit prima, en het geluid is perfect. Gewoon een échte ouderwetse bioscoop ipv die rood-betonnen bunker bij de A12 ;)

Werkelijk ontzettend jammer dat deze oude bios hier na al die decennia weggaat, en binnenkort verhuist naar een totaal ongeschikt pand in Toblerone-vorm iets verderop....

Wageningen heeft, voor mij, binnenkort geen bioscoop meer. En dat is gewoon...
