I went here on Friday evening. I have to say that the atmosphere was exquisite. We could see a lot of wooden furniture inside. The choice of beer is also plentiful. I have never seen this plethora of beer menus before, I think this was the most beer choice I ever visited. Outside also has many tables and very spacious. The light makes this place more romantic. Overall, I recommend this place

Disclaimer: my main experience is dated. But "De Zaaier" is - in my 'not' so humble opinion - one of those "must have visits" in Wageningen. The atmosphere is amazing, asuming you don't go for blasting music which makes any kind of conversations impossible: not an issue here. Prices are friendly and what I also appreciate... there's a restaurant next to them: Zaaier does not mind if you decide to order food from "the neighbors" and then enjoy the best of both worlds. BUT: disclaimer: my experience is dated, I have been here again, but casually and never caught up with the owner (Hi Sander!). Even so... IMVHO: if you want to 'experience' Wageningen.. you should pay de Zaaier a visit...

Already going here since I started studying in Wageningen. Very nice bar to hang out and have some beers with friends. Very friendly personnel! Big variety of beers, however sometimes a little pricy. They also jenever in many varieties, nice to...
