Henschotermeer — Attraction in Woudenberg

The place is nice and is maintained, really enjoyed the swimming. I would put 5 starts but for a paying entrance I would expect better amenities.

No lounge chairs and no sunshades. Either you go on the forest with the pines on your back for some shade, or you go on the beach with zero shade and bake. There is no option to rent anything so bring your shade with you and be prepared to walk with it a while from the parking to your spot. Not enough toilets (and they are really dirty. No hooks at the door, the floors are filthy, no spray to clean the seats before and when they clean it, they just hose it down with water and that's it). It's super busy and the toilets are really too spaced between each other which means that I am sure a lot of people don't bother going there as this can be a lot of walking to reach.

The place was super packed, and I could only see two food places (which were fine but super expensive) for what it is. So I would definitely recommend to not rely on it and bring your own snacks if you don't want to wait 20min standing in the sun or more for a small fry. The parking was also not good at all, really tight, packed and the ground is in bad condition in some places. Our car even got a scratch which is pretty annoying since it had none before. There are no signs or points to help you remember where you parked as well.

So in conclusion, it's nice to be in the water but come prepared with everything you might need and avoid the warmer days if you don't want it to...

The place is nice but, there's no medical emergency aid!! My offspring hit the head on the wooden bridge (and why such a sharp extra appendix??) and there's no one on the telephone, there's no first aid kit in this whole place, all bars are closed and the toilets are closed too!! Also worth reporting there was a naked man on the shore - I don't want my kids to have to look at a man's body. Definitely not a good spot...

It is impossible to get to the lake due to traffic congestion. We spent 40 minutes trying to park a car, but it was not even the worst part of it. On the way out the exit is managed so badly that people have to spend 1.5 hours (!!!) in the traffic jam at the exit. This place charges so much money but cannot even provide a basic facility so people could actually leave the place. The worst choice for...
