Absolutely love this place. I know it like that back of my hand, however some people dont . There must be more signs put in for those who aren't regulars, I must acknowledge that the signs are often stolen or moved. There are ponds, biking tracks, walking tracks, horse tracks, and a bike course. Lots of different types of terrain theres flat grass fields, hills, swampy areas, gravel roads, tarseal roads, there is something for everyone. So much space that includes tracks and jumps, multiple different places to park, and flat accessible areas for those in wheelchairs the tarseal road would be ideal for a wheelchair as it's smooth and flat. I use a wheelchair sometimes i just roll down the truckers road ( tarseal roads) on the side and im always spotted waved too and allowed to pass before they kick off again. Just remember people you're in Bottle Lake Forest not the Amazon. If you ever get lost walk towards the beach and you'll pop out on the sand no need to stress it may be a bit of a walk to the next opening and or group of people who I'm sure will be happy to...

Bottle Lake Forest Park is a great place to visit. It's ideal for walkers/runner, horse riders and mountain bikers. the dedicated tracks for each. Dogs are allowed as well There is a map beside the track as you enter off the car park. There is an area for freestyle and BMX I mainly use the mountain bike tracks which are single track level 2 so nothing difficult. There are a few alternative routes, some have 2 way traffic so you need to be aware of that. The short loop (taking the left track) is about 10 km and the long loop (the right track) is around 15 km. How ever you can do shorter options by following the forestry road back In the winter there is a good chance you will get wet and dirty as there are puddle that form and some can't be avoided. It is through the forest so it is mostly affected by the wind, with the acception of the section on the long loop along...

That's a picture of a Basket Fungus found in the park. Pretty cool. Overall, the park has a lot to offer. Lots of mountain biking options and even more hiking trails. Some of it does wander through logging areas however that's a very small section. All of the trails near the ocean were completely flooded, so we had to wade across the water to get to the beach. But overall the trails are very well taken care of and it's easy to spend a full day here without seeing everything it has to offer. I'd recommend visiting either for yourself or with family.

Great place for walking the dog, cycling, or for horse riding. Note that these paths do cross each other at some points. Variety of tracks to do of different lengths. It's a good idea to take a picture of the map at the entrance as it can get a bit confusing at some parts. They've re-done the parking and it's much more organised now. I do wish there would be more bins around the forest, as there is only one at the entrance (which is usually pretty full) and I've found other people's poo bags on the floor around the tracks several times.

We have visited the fairy doors/houses here many times some of the houses are a bit damaged and run down but it’s a nice open space for my 2yo to run around, you need to PACK A JACKET though the wind blows through the trees and it can be FREEZING! The little information centre isn’t always open but it’s good shelter when it is, picnic tables around and public toilets near the carpark area lots and lots of parking and great for biking but it’s very easy to get lost if you are not familiar with the tracks.
