It's flat, it's green, it's 100% real natural grass. It's big enough for a full-sized rugby pitch with a generous amount of space around it. There are large trees lining the sides, which provide good shelter in both sun and rain (if they are in leaf). However, they do drop a lot of chestnuts in autumn. Although the grass does get quite wet in the rain and can become slippery, this is less of a problem in summer than winter. The park features a playground, which is good for children who respond to more structured physical recreation. There is also a large rubbish bin, which is good for depositing dog poo. There is ample parking on 3 sides of the park, but there is no dedicated disabled parking or entrances.
