South New Brighton Domain — Attraction in Christchurch

Awesome place for a BBQ and play with the kids. There's the best playground here with a flying fox/zip line. It's all pretty new.

The park is big enough to play any sport and it's surrounded with plenty of walks.

I didn't take any photos because I was cooking the BBQ for 100+ people, so I was a bit busy.

There is one park BBQ there, and it's first in best dressed, but I'm glad that I brought my own because it's not the greatest. It has a good bench, though.

It's not far from the estuary and a cool jetty, too. Highly recommended...

This is a truly beautiful location and the wildlife is really amazing. Sadly the estuary edge is in a terrible state of disrepair and very unsafe for walking or cycling for anyone who may be unstable on feet or young on bikes as my son discovered when he took a terrible tumble, off his bike, cutting his hands and knees. @Christchurch City Council and @ECan should really get...

Has free gas BBQ, toilets, playground, picnic tables and seats, warf for walking and can fish off it. Wouldn't recommend swimming, sinking mud. Some tracks require dog on lead.
