This is a popular destination to lots Aucklanders. So be mindful that it could be quite crowded. The three-hours circuit bush walk is quite easy, very friendly to people who are moderately mobile. Not much view while walking in the bush. There are few peaking sites to have some glances at the water reservoir and rural eastern suburbs. If you do the circuit walk, a good pair of walking shoes will be helpful. You will need to cross a tiny stream although t its water level does fluctuate throughout the year. Also it's nice to have a swim in the pond under the waterfall, in a hot summer day. Overall, a nice place to spent half a day if you'd like to...

Nice view. It’s the first waterfalls we’ve visited in NZ. We went there in the afternoon so we were not able to explore the forest track. We still enjoyed the magnificent view of the falls together with the kids. The water is clean and clear. There are spots for picnics and the whole area is awesome. You need to bring home your own rubbish. The parking area is also huge that can accommodate ample of cars. As for the toilet, it is very clean and well maintained. Although, when we used it it’s a bit darl due to the eerie sky brought by the bushfire from AU. I didn’t notice any lightings as well inside the toilet. Overall, our experience...

There's a lovely 3 hour circuit walk which I highly recommend.

Whatever you do please don't swim under or too close to the falls. It is incredibly dangerous and people do and have died. It's fine to swim in the surrounding...
