Although my kids did have a good time at Cosmic Playzone, and the Staff were lovely to us, we did notice one thing that was quite disheartening - The CONDITION of the Cosmic Playzone! The Cosmic Playzone is in desperate need of maintenance!!! With those increased ticket prices and extra costs ....... ......there doesn't seem to be much going back to the park in this area this way? The maintenance and the general up-keep of this area? We were there 2 weeks ago and it looks so run down, worn out and filthy. It is filled with dirt, grime and dust in places which are easy to reach and anyone who takes pride in their business would surely clean these places on a regular basis?? ....so many cobwebs, leaves, dirt, foreign materials! Most of the lights on the rides are not working - the paint job makes them look old and out-dated, which we are sure they aren't ... The button covers on the space ships are torn and some even gone and not replaced, making it difficult on little peoples hands to use this ride the way it's supposed to be used! Remember these are little kids - preschoolers and up that use this area. Things need to be in good, working condition! The Carousel has had the inside middle of the ride all kicked in and broken, but hasn't been replaced for months - since we last went - 11 months ago! . Some of he pony's are out of order and some don't even rise or are sitting wonky. The pirate ship needs a huge clean, paint and spruce up. The playground area had safety mats removed, a lot of the safety padding on bars was pulled off and very filthy looking. The ball pit had no more balls, and the trampoline was so filthy - actually it was gross - our socks came off it black! First time this has happened to us! we used it before and never noticed such a gross amount of filth.
We are very saddened to see how quickly the quality of this area has gone downhill - The Park has only been opened a few years but it does look like a worn out, dodgy old Easter Show set up! Because of this it lacks excitement and appeal! It doesn't look like this place is looked after or taken pride in - it comes across as a place only in it to make money and does not give anything back to the equipment that the public pay high prices to use.

Read moreIm rating this place a 2 and here's why. The driveway in and out is totally shredded. Huge pot holes over the entire thing & it's not a short driveway. In my opinion, they make enough money to get it fixed. Parking is good. We had no issues finding a space & it's only a short distance to get to the park. The games room was a non event. Could do something with that. The Cafe was tidy & the staff were friendly & helpful. Making our way up the hill on the bus was fine. Might be a killer come mid summer with everyone packed into the bus but it's only a short drive so it was OK. This brings me to the rides at the top. There is 2 ziplines side by side, a bungee that catapults you into the air & the luge. 1: The Shooting Star bungee. Ok this thing gets you about as high as when you bounce on a trampoline. So not really shooting for many stars here. Needs to be way better & not a highlight at all. Stink 2: The downhill luge. OK i firstly need to address the helmets. Omg....they were NASTY!! They were sweaty & wet & if i wasnt trying to impress my kid, i swear i wouldnt have put them anywhere near me. I absolutely hated putting it on & that part alone put me off ever coming back. Sorry to say that & i have no idea what could be done to resolve this but its not my business but if it was, id wana find a way to fix that. No one wants to feel that yuck & it was yuck. Now the luge, not much to say about it. Was very much distracted by the sweat on my forehead cos it wasnt mine. The luge is not very long but my kid liked it a lot. 3: the zipline. Same sort of vibe as the other rides. It's a standard zip line. It's only short. Was uncomfortable to lay in but it was over before it started so it was fine. Again not a lot of adventure here. Overall the tickets were expensive. I paid $115 for myself and my 12year old. We had unlimited access to the rides mentioned but could not use any other things unless we paid more. If I was to compare the price & the rides with somewhere like rainbows end, it jus doesn't cut it for what they charge. Whereas at least rainbows end has more rides & it should for the price you pay for entery. A 2 star here & could use some work or not...

We had an absolutely fantastic day at Auckland Adventure Park! We purchased four Ultimate Passes from Bookme for just $20 each, which was an incredible deal for all the activities included. The park is conveniently located in North Shore, Auckland, making it easy to reach and perfect for families or thrill-seekers.
The rides open at 11 a.m., giving us plenty of time to explore the park. We started in the kids' area, where our little ones loved the planes, carousel, pirate ship, and a fun playground. There’s also a 4D cinema, where we enjoyed a rollercoaster movie with 3D glasses and seat movement—a fun experience for everyone.
The heart of the park, Area 51, serves as both the check-in area and a kitchen. We grabbed lunch here, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
To get to the main attractions like the Shooting Star ride, luge, and dual zip line, you can either take a short uphill walk or hop on a comfortable Mitsubishi Rosa bus. The driver was very friendly and added to the great atmosphere of the day.
The luge was super fast—definitely quicker than the one in Rotorua—and it had bicycle-like brakes for control, making it an exhilarating but safe ride. The dual zip line was another highlight, offering a fast-paced, adrenaline-filled experience that we absolutely loved!
In the middle of the day, we experienced a heavy downpour of rain, but it cleared up in just 20 minutes. The brief rainstorm actually added to the day, making the rides feel even more refreshing and fun once it passed. It’s all part of the adventure!
The Ultimate Pass gave us unlimited access to all these activities, and for $50, it’s absolutely worth it. We could ride as much as we wanted, which really made the day special.
Overall, we had an amazing time at Auckland Adventure Park and we’ll definitely be back every year. Whether you're visiting with kids or looking for some thrilling experiences, this park has something for everyone. Highly...
