A superb walkway with lovely views over the Tamaki River, good place to enjoy the sunset.
The walkway extends from Wakaaranga Creek Reserve in the eastern end, through to Panmure Bridge in the western end. There are multiple access points through to the surrounding suburbs, making it really accessible for all to enjoy.
On the eastern end, there are opportunities to explore the Pigeon Mountain wetland, and onto to the summit of Pigeon Mountain.
On the western end, AMETI project will improve access to Panmure Basin walk (where you can find a public toilet).

The path can be wide and straight so it's great for bicycles and scooters as well not many inclines so ideal for running jogging too. Just absolutely lovely and pleasant on a sunny day when u have the water on the side at all times. It's also relatively low key and quiet so perhaps best to go during the day time. However, since it is designed for a walkway, i noticed lots of people riding bikes on the same narrow stretch which is a safety hazard of concern since lots of seniors and families with children use the walkway.
