There are a few levels of rooms that you can choose from. The 3 I stayed in are as followed ( these are not the real names of the rooms as I cannot remember them)

Basic - this I'd the bare minimum room, one double bed and a bunk bed, comes with a mini fridge, toaster, kettle and no tv. There is a small table in the corner of the room. The room is very small there's about 200 cm between the bunk beds and the double and about half a metre from the double to the table.

This room is good for a couple nights stay at the most due to the limited space.

Basic plus - exactly the same as the basic but has a 15 inch TV mounted to the wall above the table.

THESE ROOMS DO NOT HAVE TOILETS OR KITCHEN YOU MUST USE THE COMMUNAL REST ROOMS AND KITCHEN

The last room is more of a small house then anything

2 bedrooms one containing a double bed and the other with bunks and another single with room in both for belongings

A very nice bath room with the hand basin separate from the toilet and shower.

The lounge/kitchen with a 55 inch TV, 2 three seater couches, a mircowave and cupboard big enough for all foods.

It also has a deck out the back over looking the holiday camp.

This small house is perfect for an extended stay period and highly recommend this room

No real cons at this holiday camp apart from the comunal rest room and kitchen but that's personal preference. It's only a 5 minute drive from the city center and it's just behind...

A disappointing stay. There were a few things that were concerning. First of all the conditions of the caravans are unliveable! I developed a chest infection after a stay in one of the caravans which was leaking as it rained! I talked to some of the residents there and they have the same issue with their caravan despite telling management about it nothing has been done other than them boarding it up. This goes against living standards. The male owner was rude and calling people names. I was told by a few residents that the staff had the same attitude which is not ok! This didn’t personally happen towards me but I witnessed him do it to others. There were a group of kids that were running amuck without parents supervision. They were in and out of the pool area. Im sure they were residents. Not one to usually complain or leave a review but this was so disappointing to have this experience and hear from residents about their mistreatment. Something must be done about the caravans and their condition as you could be putting people seriously at risk of getting very sick! Especially with...

This was our second time staying here. Mostly good - although for a top 10 the standard is not what I've experienced at others. Hastings is only a "top10 classic" which does not indicate it'll be top tier, but in comparison to the superior or premium class top 10 sites it certainly does not feel to offer the same value. Facilities were clean but a bit pedestrian. The grounds are well kept. Pool is good, playground way better than last time we visited.

However. We will absolutely not be back as one of the ground staff lost their shit seriously as we were exiting the wrong way via a one way road - because the correct exit was blocked by a parked vehicle. He didn't want to listen to our reasoning and seriously made us feel unwelcome. I stopped at the office to complain but after waiting a couple of minutes with no one coming to see me I decided to just leave as I really didn't feel like seeing the grounds guy again. Hence the review.

All in all, ok but not great. Just don't piss off the guy in the...

The park is clean and tidy, very well managed and has great facilities. It would have been nice though if the pool was heated from the get-go and not after 3 days of boring miserable weather. The spas are expensive at $8 for half an hour therefore hardly ever in use. Hot showers are good, but on a 7 minute timer, half of which is cold so be sure to soap before you even turn that timer on! Very convenient dairy accross the road, as well as Splash planet just around the corner

A fantastic place to stay with plenty of space for everyone. The cabins and communal areas are exceptional clean, particularly the toilets. Checking in and out was simple with no dramas. The friendly staff were certainly helpful. The pool is brilliant and we all had fun in there. The playground the children loved and as typical little kiwis they practically stayed there making new friends. Overall a very pleasant stay was had by all and we are already planning to come back.

Stunning campground in a beautiful part of New Zealand. Very well maintained grounds, huge mature trees. Nice big pool & playground. Good sized kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. The campsites are a decent size and are nice and level which is always a bonus. Very handy to Splash Planet and just down the road from Hastings town and Havelock North. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet, immaculate campground
