Horahora domain — Attraction in North Island

One of my absolute favourite freedom camping experiences on my 3 weeks. What scenes as you drive in and what you can park up to. So much space for everyone, will get very busy in summer though at the start of Spring was quiet. The sheep were lambing at the time so who wouldn't want baby lambs to walk up to, I probably spent hours with them by the time we left. What a fabulous spot! I'm almost reluctant to risk having it over populated by writing a review! An small area defined by bouys excludes power craft so children can swim safely. Lots of trees for afternoon shade, lots of prickles too! There is a boat ramp but we easily launched the jetski from the shore. Great facility although the signage could be better, I spoke with a couple of tourists who were confused by the sign and where they should park, the picture on the sign is orientated around the wrong way, so it makes it look like the area is on the lefthand side of the area, when its actually on the righthand side of the area... but its a nice area with a great overlook of...
