Rotorua Mountain Bike Park is a haven for mountain biking enthusiasts, boasting an extensive network of trails that cater to riders of all skill levels. With an abundance of trails to explore, boredom is simply not an option here. What sets this park apart is its commitment to maintenance, ensuring that each trail is in prime condition for riders to enjoy.

As someone who has experienced numerous bike parks across the North Island, I can confidently say that Rotorua Mountain Bike Park stands out as my favorite. The diversity of trails, ranging from flowy singletracks to adrenaline-pumping downhill runs, ensures that there's always something new to discover and conquer.

Convenience is key at this park, with amenities like bike rental services available for those who don't have their own equipment. Additionally, the ample parking facilities make it easy to access the trails, while shuttle services provide a hassle-free way to navigate the park's expansive terrain.

Whether you're a seasoned rider looking for a challenge or a beginner seeking a thrilling introduction to the sport, Rotorua Mountain Bike Park has something for everyone. It's no wonder why it's regarded as one of the premier mountain biking destinations in...

BEWARE: This is not a Freedom campsite. There are no signs to say no camping. I and others mistook this for a campsite with a similar name. I was woken around 11.30pm. By a very aggressive female bully of a security guard. With ' YOU CAN'T PARK HERE GET OUT' I asked if this was the camp on one of my apps. ' NO GET OUT NOW' She then stood over me while I tried to hurry and pack my van. ' ARE YOU GOING TO BE LONG' she asked. I explained  had medical conditions and was going as fast as I can. I'M NOT INTERESTED ' she said. In my hurry I misplaced my keys, now I am a liar. She has to go so she locks me in the carpark, I have no way of getting out until 7am. If I need medical aid I am in trouble. I sleep in the front seat of my van until someone unlocks the gate. This looks like a wonderful resource. It's a pity it's run by bullies who don't know how...

Fantastic relatively new car-park for mountain bikers with shower and toilet facilities close access to the trails and shuttle in the weekends. Also has a small bike hire shop and cafe there working out of shipping containers. Plenty of parking area. In saying this the council could tidy it up a bit as it's lacking in some maintenance.

Unfortunately very disappointing that the showers have not been in operation pretty much since the carpark was open due to theft. The council have tried to remedy this but have been unsuccessful so far and they (as of writing this) are still not working. I was told this is because of how much money the theft has cost the council. Therefore I'll only give it three stars and when the showers are operating I'd more than likely...

I was visiting from another country, and i hired a Dual Sus bike from "Hire Bikes Rotarua" and the service was great, an almost brand new bike, and it handled the trails well. The trails her alone are completely different, and it makes sense why they hold one of the World Cup Downhill races here. The world Cup track alone is insanely sick and definitely pushes your limits, but i would most definitely recommend you dont do it unless your experienced, otherwise an Ouchie may occur and these tracks are unforgiving haha.
