I went for the whole of Fieldays. What an incredible experience. Such a variety of vendors. There were so many different and very affordable food options, lots of decent quality clothing retailers, and some very special small business stalls. I got some unique gifts here that I wouldn't have really been able to get from most other events. I would reccomend staying as close to the venue as you can as the traffic queues are a sore sight and parking can be quite a mission, let alone remembering where you've parked. Just things to consider before you go. Absolutely...

It's the Fieldays! This is always a highpoint on the farm calender, as are the freebies (stock poles etc) and very good prices on necessary items like new gumboots (less mud this year). The food and toilets have vastly improved since my first visit in 1972. It's sad to see the programme booklet has been replaced by an app that is patchy and not as seamless as the developer probably thinks it is. Cell phone coverage was poor to non existent for 2Degrees customers. Above all, it's great to return to a large gathering...

I've been there off and on for the last 14 years, the driving with parking was great this time but the event let it down. Very hard to plan your visits and everything is spreading out too much. A lot less new ideas and options this time which is one of the things I like to see.

It was better in the past with like suppliers in close areas, every bit of farming and farm life was covered.

Next time I'll just go direct to the suppliers I know and get the fielddays specials without the...

AUTORAMA was the show on this weekend. Some amazing cars on display and even better was the tools and equipment MACHINERY HOUSE bought along. Everything you need to build your own panels like English Wheels, Bead Rollers, Shrinker/ Stretchers, Power hammers and Planishing Hammers. Even the books and hand tools for the job, and the staff knowledge of how to use them. Look forward to next year, should be bigger.
