Saltwater Seafoods — Attraction in North Island

I bought 1kg of king prawns for Christmas for $70 and paid another $30 ish for postage. They arrived within 24hrs of sending but were partially defrosted already. As my husband put the prawns back into the freezer he noticed that at least 4 that we could see have black spot bacterial growth. Having worked on Australian prawn trawlers for years he knows what he's looking at. I called saltwater and the lady I spoke to was very pleasant. She asked what I wanted to happen and as I said, I just thought they should know that there is a problem with their supply not treating the prawns properly at sea and/or the subsequent handling. I was all good until she mentioned they'd had numerous other comments about black spot this year. If that's the case they are knowingly selling subpar stock at premuim prices. Disappointing and I'll not buy...

Website: 10/10 user friendly Products: Blue swimmer crab authentic but not for us, not the crab or saltwater seafoods fault, just didn't enjoy the fight to get nuk the meat. 10/10 if that's your jam. Oyster punnet: 10/10 so I was told.. not my jam. Kuku punnet: 10/10 fat and juicy Kina: 9/10, nothing beats fresh from the ocean, but lazy girl 10/10 Seafood boil 9/10 all clams aka cockles smashed and so many broken shells made it crunchy 😞 Delivery: overnight is over night mi guy... Legends to the courier and packers getting our order out and on the doorstep before 9am in Kaitaia from Hastings. please excuse my grammer here ,Not that good saltwater seafoods 😮‍💨 have made a few orders and been disapointed , last order i got mud crab that were literally empty and i had pics n video to show. This time i ordered oysters and kina with other things to ,the oysters tasted like they were defrosted then forgotten on the kitchen sink and sold, had a tingle to the tounge my partner reckons ,yuck! and that was what he wanted most , my kina were foul tasted not at all like a kina and had a white discharge looking layer throughout the kina , i dont want to stop shopping here cause of a few letdowns but yeah i dont know, NOT HAPPY SALT...
