This is one of the best spot I have seen around the North Island. The Crown Mines has many ventures for different people, you can choose to walk to nearby spots where you can get into the dark cave (bring your torch or use your phone) and there is a window spot where you can look out from the top, or if you're more adventures, try walking into different path which I did not do because it does get scary if you're alone.
